Sorry its been so long since I posted. I thought I would give an update about my health. I say a neurologist last week. He seems to have narrowed my problem down to a couple of things. He ran some more tests. My medication was also adjusted. I feel a little better now, but I'm still only able to work in the mornings and I'm still not safe to drive most of the time. By the time I get home from work, I'm usually exhausted and feeling pretty bad, which makes blogging out of the question, along with most other activities. The doctor ordered some blood work and after he gets those results, he's going to try to adjust my medication some more. My congregation has been very supportive finding people to give me rides and bring me food which has been a great help.
I guess the short version is that we seem to making progress with treating my symptoms to some extent. However, since the doctors don't have a firm diagnosis yet, I still don't have any kind of long-term treatment plan and I'm not really functional yet.
Those of you who have been praying for me, I thank you. It is most appreciated. Thursday, August 01, 2002
Last week my doctor prescribed a new medication that seemed to control my headache some. However, if tonigh is any indication, it isn't working as well as I had hoped. I am not having as much of a problem with my balance the last few days, but I am in day 14 of this headache. I am scheduled to see a doctor who is supposed to be a top-notch neurologist. Unfortunately, that apparently makes him a very busy neurologist. It looks as if it may be a couple of weeks before I can see him as all attempts to get pushed up the schedule have so far failed. I want to thank those who have posted or e-mailed to say they are praying for me. That is most appreciated. |
